I'm Steven Vu, a second-year at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, majoring in media studies and Spanish. I'm passionate about issues that the modern media faces today, such as fake news and net neutrality. On top of that, I'm an avid learner of languages, currently pursing Spanish and I'm fluent in Vietnamese. My career interests are in digital media/marketing, the news media, and communications.
Outside of my academic and career interests, I serve as Vice President for the Club Gymnastics team at UVA where I plan and execute fundraising events for the team. On top of that, I'm a member of HackCville, participating in the Hustle program in the Fall of 2018. I am also a member of WUVA, a student run multimedia organization covering news, sports, culture, and comedy, working in the marketing department in Fall 2018.
